Do You Have A Bench Warrant?

In Las Vegas a Bench Warrant is a variant of an arrest warrant, which authorizes the immediate on-sight arrest of an individual subject to the bench warrant. Typically, judges issue bench warrants for persons deemed to be in contempt of court—possibly as a result of that person's failure to appear at the appointed time and date for a mandated court appearance. Bench warrants are issued in either criminal or civil court proceedings.

Commonly (but not always), the person who is subject to a bench warrant has intentionally avoided a court appearance or failed to complete a requirement mandated by the Court. If you have an active bench warrant, it's important that you don't delay in speaking with an experienced criminal defense lawyer. In some situations our office can resolve the bench warrant without your appearing in Court.  

Motion to Quash the Bench Warrant

In most situations when there is an active bench warrant our office will file a Motion to Quash (recall) the Bench Warrant. Upon filing the Motion, a hearing date will be set, and our office will appear before the Judge in your case. In some circumstances you may not even need to appear at the hearing.
